Phenomenological analysis of transverse thermoelectric generation and cooling performance in magnetic/thermoelectric hybrid systems

We phenomenologically calculate the performance of recently-observed Seebeck-driven transverse thermoelectric generation (STTG) for various systems in terms thermopower, power factor, and figure merit to demonstrate usefulness STTG. The STTG system consists a closed circuit comprising magnetic materials which exhibit Seebeck anomalous Hall effects, respectively. When temperature gradient is applied hybrid system, effect material layer generates longitudinal charge current subsequently drives layer. voltage driven by has similar symmetry conversion based on Nernst effect. find that properties can be much better than those increasing coefficient angle materials, respectively, as well optimizing their dimensions. also formulate electronic cooling confirming reciprocal relation conversion.
